Can Public Speaking Overcome Shyness?
The answer is Yes! However it takes time.
Shyness is very common in children. More than one in three adults will admit they were shy when they were young. Can children outgrow shyness? If the child has noticeable periods of shyness for more than 6 months they this is likely to become a pattern of behavior and a pattern one needs to get help for. Some scientists believe that shyness is an inherited gene where the brains are wired to react with more anxiety and fear.
The good news is that children who are shy can learn to overcome their genetic predisposition, by attending programs such as ours to help learn ways to develop the social, emotional and behavioral skills. In fact studies show that children who are taught skills to overcome shyness at a young age cannot be distinguished from children who were never shy.
Our various public speaking and communication programs, combined with our relaxed stress free methods of teaching will provide the necessary tools and environment to help your child open up, overcome their fears and become more aware of their positive traits and the people around them. |
